Protocols

This document describes the protocols used by the various components of the system.

Taking time off is important for your mental health and productivity.

We actually encourage you to take time off, to take care of yourself, life and family. We want you to have a fulfilling career and a fulfilling life.

Note

We are not going to take PTO requests with raised eyebrows, we are not going to judge you either, but we are expecting you to be responsible for your work, to be accountable for your tasks. so please plan your PTO in advance, and make sure your work is covered.

How to Request PTO

Please inform your manager and HR in advance, at least twice the number of days you are requesting off (e.g. if you are requesting 2 days off, inform your manager and HR at least 4 days in advance).

If you are in the middle of a project, let your manager know how you plan to cover your work.

How to Cover Your Work

Make sure your work is covered when requesting a PTO, either by completing it before you leave or by assigning it to someone else. it's your responsibility to make sure your work is covered.

How to Communicate Your Absence

Please set an status in format of "OOO Y-m-d" in your discord status so others know you are not available for the given time, and inform your team members and clients about your absence.

How to Return to Work

Please inform your manager and HR when you are back, and make sure your work is up-to-date.

Talk with your team members and clients to catch up on what you missed.

Sick Leave

If you are sick, please take a sick leave, we don't want you to work when you are sick, it's not good for you, and probably you are not going to be productive.

Note

Nobody is going to judge you for taking a sick leave, but we are expecting you to be responsible for your work, to be accountable for your tasks. also it will not be counted as PTO and normally it will not effect your paycheck.

How to Request Sick Leave

Sick leave is not counted as PTO, so you don't need to plan it in advance. But please inform your manager and HR as soon as possible.

Taking 5 days off in a row is considered a long-term sick leave, and it might effect your paycheck, but we will evaluate each case individually and make a decision based on the situation.

How to Cover Your Work

If you are in the middle of a project, let your manager know how your work can be covered or who can cover it.
